Here's how to do it:

  • Remove kapok and wash the outer shell. Refill according to loft needed. Typical shelf life of the pillow is about a year, after which you can refluff, air out or opt for a new pillow.

    Yes, we do make custom mattresses with Kapok filling. The size and height need to be given by you. 

    Kapok mattresses give a medium firm to firm feel, depending on the amount of filling. They're great for orthopedic purpose, specially for anyone looking to avoid back pain or those who already have it. Unlike a memory foam mattress which feels bouncy, a Kapok mattress retains the shape of your head, neck and spine. 

  • What filling is the best for an Organic Pillow?

    Kapok is a cruelty free down alternative and is also known as silk cotton. 

    Kapok is an attractive alternative to other fill types like down, feather or synthetic foam because kapok is: safe. It’s free of toxic materials found in many foam pillows. cruelty-free.   • Hello. Polyfibre pillows lump over a period of time. Does that happen with the kapok pillow too?

    Hi there. Fibre pillows - be it microfibre, hollow fibre or even cotton tend to lump over a period of time. Memory foam on the oher hand is basically petrochemicals. Also polyfibres aren't a good choice for your body and skin, considering the immense amount of chemicals that go into them. Secondly they tend to lump after a few months. 

    Cotton on the other hand captures moisture. Hence, Kapok is an alternative best suited for pillows. It is natural, hypoallergenic ensuring you don't breathe in chemical-laden vapours. Secondly it wicks moisture as opposed to other pillow fibres. Thirdly it supports the neck and head well.
