1. What flat bed sheet size should I opt for if my mattress is an odd size?

Go for the nearest biggest size. It is likely that if your mattress is an odd size, it is a customized one. 2. Can you customize a bed sheet for me?

3. How big should my duvet cover be if my duvet is a double size of 90 x 100 inches? 

Your duvet cover should be at least 2 inches bigger on both sides, length and breadth. You will find combination sets of duvet covers with duvet inserts in many stores, for they are supposed to be used together and it is easy for customers to choose from such packages. 

 

4. Why are duvet covers open only from one end? Can I get duvet covers with zippers that open from two ends?

Stuffing duvet inserts in a duvet cover often makes it look scrunched up and the insert is bundled at one end. Most conventional duvet covers open from one end and makes it cumbersome for people to put in the duvet. We can customize a cover with a zipper that opens from two ends. 

 

5. When a king mattress size in India is listed as 78 x 72 inches, which is the length, and which is the width?

6. When I buy a single-size flat bed sheet in India, it says 90 x 60 inches. Are 90 inches the length or the width? When I opt for a double bedsheet of 90 x 108 inches, which is the length and which is the width? 

 

Ans: Hi, While a single comforter is 90 x 60 inches in size, a double comforter is 90 x 100 inches or 90 x 108 inches in most cases. In simple terms, a single person uses a comforter of 90 inches. 90 inches or 7.5 feet is the length (top to bottom) and 60 inches (5 feet is the width, left to right). 7.5 feet length covers the maximum height of even the tallest person. Conversely, when one uses a king comforter, say of 90 x 108 inches, two people use it together. Again, the logic here is that 90 inches (7.5 feet) covers the maximum height of a person and 108 inches (9 feet) is the width, thereby letting two people fit generously. Remember the famed blanket tug-of-war? With a large-sized comforter, the width is a considerable 8-9 feet, helping each of you sleep peacefully.
