I wanted a firm mattress that reminded me of the cotton mattresses we used while growing up. This mattress is nicely made. Came with a zippered cover that we now use often as we have kids at home. It came in packed thoroughly. Like the firmness. I feel well rested.

Been a month since I bought this mattress. After giving my custom mattress dimensions and the height I required (higher than 6 inches as mentioned on the website) , I was taken through the process of ordering. Queries were answered properly. Have had a memory foam mattress before. While it worked nicely till it started sagging, the difference I notice here is that this feels supportive, without any sinking feel. I'm experiencing deeper sleep without the usual tossing and turning.

Considering the back pain my father undergoes, I first contacted Amouve through Whatsapp. We initially opted for a single mattress. We requested additional packing and this was taken care of. The mattress has been made beautifully. Much like old times, it lends great support without sinking in.

How long does it take to make and ship my mattress?
We take about 15 days, from start to dispatch. Amouve's mattresses are all hand-crafted. The Kapok is hand-plucked from trees, and each individual pod needs to be broken by hand to extract the fibre. It is also hand-tufted, making it a laboriously intensive process. The sheer size of the mattress (it cannot be vacuumed) also means that it needs special handling and shipping.

Which is better - Latex or Kapok?
Both materials have their own feel. Latex is bouncy while Kapok is not. Latex could be classified as natural latex or manufactured/artificial latex.

I have been recommended by my doctor to use a natural, VOC-free mattress. Is this it?
Kapok is not only pesticide-free, but free of any sort of chemicals that typically go in making conventional mattresses. It is formaldehyde-free, pthalate-free and VoC-free.

Will the mattress expand?
The mattress settles a bit in height which is accounted for. It does not expand.
